This area encompasses the area most people will think of when the Colorado Plateau is mentioned. It includes the iconic locations of Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks, but also includes the lesser known areas of Colorado National Monument, and Dinosaur National Monument.

This Northwestern portion of the Colorado Plateau stretches as far North as Flaming Gorge Recreational area and the western regions of Canyonlands National Park.

Vernal, Utah is an ideal destination point for Dinosaur NP, and the bizarre rock formations of Fantasy Canyon.

Moab, Utah is the ideal location to work out of for Canyonland, and Arches NP along with the lesser known areas of Fisher Towers, and Sego Canyon.
