People travel from around the world to the Southwestern section of the Plateau to see the most spectacular collection of desert scenery in the world.

The Grand Canyon is on most everyone's must see list along with Zion National Park, both unique destinations in their own right.

Page, Az, or Kanab, Utah are centers to explore the iconic Upper and Lower Antelope slot canyons, the hoodoos along Highway 89 between Page and Kanab, or the Bend of the Colorado River.

The true jewels of this area lie in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. The Paria River, Buckskin Gulch and White Pocket are there for prepared hikers to explore while the Coyote Buttes North (the Wave) and Coyote Buttes South can be explored only with permits from the BLM which allows 20/day in each of the areas.
