Native American ruins are not exclusive to the area but the Southeast section of the Colorado Plateau contains some of the best of the ancient southwestern ruins and artwork. This is where you will find the iconic locations of Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, and Monument Valley. In addition one will find the ruins of the Cedar Mesa, Navajo National Monument and Canyon de Chelly, Hovenweep National Monument.

Blanding, Utah is an ideal location to explore the Cedar Mesa and Hovenweep, whereas Mesa Verde, Monument Valley, and Canyon de Chelly are primary destinations in there own right.

This in an area that one can find seldom visited areas and feel a sense of spirituality and connection with America's early inhabitants.
